Selling handmade jewelry to stores can be a great way to supplement your jewelry sales income or it can even become your main source of income. There are many advantages to selling wholesale or on consignment.

Although there are differing points of view on wholesale versus consignment, usually these views are solely based on personal experiences, either negative or positive.

I will do my best to give you an objective perspective based on, not only my personal experience, but also on the experiences of my fellow crafters and friends in the jewelry business.

I have sold my jewelry to many stores throughout the years, both on consignment and wholesale. I have had some good and not so good experiences with both.

When selling to stores there are important factors to consider regarding creating a successful wholesale business. It is also of prime importance to learn how to protect yourself when consigning.
